Hep ordaydı.
Doğduk, büyüdük, ilkokula gittik.
Orta, lise, üniversite.
Sosyalist olduk, tutuklandık, işkence, dayak, mapusluk.
O hep ordaydı.
Yanımızda.

erdal eren

Bugün 12 Eylül'ün yaşını büyülterek idam ettigi Erdal Eren'in ölüm yildönümü. Kendisini hatırlıyoruz.
On 13 December, 1980 the Turkish judiciary sentanced a 17 year old youth to death for revolutionary activity. His name was Erdal Eren. He was murdered 29 years ago today. Despite the fact he was a minor, the judge passed a death sentence for the 17 year old revolutionary. Following the passing of the sentence, Erdal stated to the judge that it is the people who will pass the last sentence. This defiance, in the face of a regime which executed 49 other people in 1980 served to galvinise those who continued to struggle in underground conditions against the junta. In his last letter to his family he said: ''My hatred has increased a thousand times more and the fight fueled my determination. They failed to destroy my belief in the masses and the revolution. Fight until the end, this is the best way to struggle and I do not have any other purpose than to rise.''

we aren't armenian / biz ermeni değiliz

047-3nn-car-kutal_firuz-biz_ermeni_degiliz_-_we_aren_t_armenian
Hrant Dink (September 15, 1954 - January 19, 2007) was a Turkish-Armenian editor, journalist. As editor-in-chief of the bilingual Turkish-Armenian newspaper Agos, Dink was a prominent member of the Armenian minority in Turkey. Dink was best known for advocating Turkish-Armenian reconciliation and human and minority rights in Turkey; he was often critical of both Turkey's denial of the Armenian Genocide, and of the Armenian diaspora's campaign for its international recognition.
Dink was prosecuted three times for denigrating Turkishness, while receiving numerous death threats from Turkish nationalists.
Hrant Dink was assassinated in Istanbul in January 2007, by Ogün Samast, a 17-year old Turkish nationalist.
This was shortly after the premiere of the genocide documentary Screamers, in which he is interviewed about Turkish denial of the Armenian Genocide of 1915 and the case against him under Article 301. While Samast has since been taken into custody, photographs of the assassin flanked by smiling Turkish police and gendarmerie, posing with the killer side by side in front of the Turkish flag, have since surfaced. The photos created a scandal in Turkey...
